WESTCLUB QUIZ NIGHT
WEDNESDAY 28th MAY 2008

Lathlain Hall at Eftel Oval, hosted the now annual Westclub Quiz Night, hosted by Quizmaster Extra-oindaire, Bob Harnett.  Members enjoyed the hospitality available at the Perth Football Club as they tested their skill for over $2,000 worth of prizes.

After an energetic battle the table from the Department of Education was victorious, second prize went to a table from the Department of Community Development third prize to a Westclub Member’s table Jane McGuire with the NAGA award for Quiz Nights going to the table from Advantage Settlements who withstood a late charge for the prize from the tables from Ace Cinemas and Joondalup Resort.

JOONDALUP RESORT & COUNTRY CLUB
APRIL 2008

The picturesque Joondalup Resort and Country Club hosted our Westclub Wednesday function for April.  Members were entertained in the luxurious “Lakeside Marquee” overlooking the tranquil course and pool setting.

As Members arrived at the Marquee they were greeted by a free-flowing Chocolate Fountain and displays of some of the many services offered at the Resort.

During the evening Members were able to participate in a putting competition and receive tips from the staff from the David Milne Golf Acadamy or had the opportunity to receive a relaxing neck and should massage from the consultants at the Sorbet Day Spa, whilst enjoying the entertainment provided by local musician, Trent Williams.

MC Bob Harnett, introduced Elke Mehrens, Events Manager for the Resort who gave everyone an overview of the many facets and facilities the Resort offers.

We would like to thank the staff of the Joondalup Resort for their wonderful hospitality.

GLOUCESTER PARK
AUGUST 2007

Westclub held it’s regular Westclub Wednesday function on a Tuesday to celebrate that first Tuesday in November, Melbourne Cup day and the commencement of the Spring Racing Season.

Held in the prestigious Committee Reserve, at Gloucester Park, Member’s were treated to an exciting race program, matched by the wonderful food presented by Red Pepper Catering as they sipped their Sparkling Wine overlooking the track.  Red Pepper Catering displayed some of the various cocktail and sumptuous desserts available at Gloucester Park for functions and events.

Hosted by Postcard’s Pip O’Connell, Members were also fortunate to be able to view the latest Spring Racing Hats & Fascionators from Gannon’s on Ascot and Belmont Park.  With one lucky winner, Heather Jarvis of the City of Wanneroo taking home a fabulous Melbourne Cup hat!

WINE RACK - Mulberry on Swan
APRIL 2007

Over 50 Members attended the first WestClub Wednesday function of the year, held at the “Wine Rack” in the Mulberry on Swan complex in Guildford.

The event hosted by Channel 9’s Bob Harnett gave Members the chance to taste different varieties of wines from Veranda, Deep Wood Estate, Bella Ridge and Sittella Wineries. Joining Bob as he discussed the wines was the Sales Representative for Veranda Wines, Gerard Horgan.  As the wines were tasted sumptuous cocktail food matching the wines was presented by the Wine Rack.

Our thanks go to the Wine Rack for their support of the event and we look forward to our next WestClub Wednesday function at the Swan Districts Football Club on Wednesday 30th May, which will see Members compete for the title of the WestClub Wednesday Quiz Night Champions and an array of terrific prizes including a hamper to the value of $500.
